Okay, so I didn’t think I would come across this, but I am happy that I did. I just watched a streamer play through the Nintendo 64 classic GoldenEye 007 as Mario. Yes, Mario.
A mod came out just last year that replaces all of the characters in GoldenEye with characters from the Super Mario franchise, as well as Donkey Kong for good measure. So you get Mario as James Bond, Luigi as Trevelyan, Princess Peach as Natalya, and Bowser as General Ourumov. It’s a blockbuster cast!
Graslu00 is a YouTuber with a channel focused mainly on Bond games, although he also has some videos for Perfect Dark and Time Splitters 2. He also has a GoldenEye playthrough with Sonic the Hedgehog characters.
