Luminosity Gaming came out on top at the Call of Duty World League Fort Worth Cup 2019.
The Fort Worth Cup was the second tentpole event of the Call of Duty World League in the 2019 season. Sixteen CWL Pro League teams competed over three days in the tournament, racking up thousands of hours of live Call of Duty esports action.
Ultimately, it was Luminosity who defeated Splyce to capture the cup. Luminosity’s victory was thanks in part to the work of star player Peirce “Gunless” Hillman, who was named MVP of the tournament. Also among the top four placing Pro teams at CWL Fort Worth were Reciprocity and 100 Thieves.
CWL Fort Worth action was streamed live on MLG.com/CallofDuty and Twitch.tv/CallofDuty. It was also broadcast in the live event viewer within Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 exclusively on PS4.
An amateur Call of Duty esports tournament also took place in Fort Worth with its own dedicated prize pool. With over 180 amateur esports teams competing, FaZe Clan Black was crowned the champion.
The Call of Duty World League season will continue on March 25 from the MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio. From March 25 to April 4, Pro teams from Division A and Division B will face off against teams in their opposing division.
